In the body of a pale green, silver colors are properly embedded. During the feeding period for young and juvenile dragons, they are fed with brine shrimp, which embeds red stripes on their fins and scales. As they grow older, these stripes gradually fade to become silvery white or white gold. The fins and edges of the scales become even whiter.
The growth rate of silver dragons is fast, but it is not recommended to keep them with other ornamental fish due to their large appetite. They require spacious aquariums with sufficient filtration systems that include pumps or powerheads to maintain water circulation and prevent tail damage.
